Membrane technology has been widely accepted as a method of extracting a variety of water quality from surface water, well water, brackish water, and seawater. Membrane technology is also used in industrial processes and industrial wastewater treatment. Recently, membrane technology has entered the field of urban secondary and tertiary wastewater treatment and oilfield produced water treatment. In many cases, one membrane process is followed by another, the purpose of which is to produce water with increased purity and quality for a variety of purposes. Thus, one membrane can enhance the functions of the other to meet goals ranging from wastewater treatment to the production of drinking water from unexpected sources. In this way, membrane technology offers the possibility of managing the total water resources of an area, which is particularly noteworthy in geographical areas where natural water resources are scarce.

Peristaltic pump is widely used in membrane technology. Because peristaltic metering pump is a good choice for pumping dirty fluids containing particles or trapped gases. Constant flow and gentle peristaltic pumping help deliver precise amounts of chemicals to the system without loss of major components.:

1. The peristaltic pump can carry out high-level and stable fluid transmission and maintain a stable fluid pressure during the transmission process.

2. When the peristaltic pump transfers fluid, the fluid only touches the hose. Choosing a hose that meets the sanitary requirements can avoid secondary pollution of the fluid during the transfer process. To transfer different fluids, simply replace the hose to avoid cross-contamination between different fluids.

3. The peristaltic pump is suitable for transporting liquids containing solid particles. When used in conjunction with a filter, it can effectively remove particles or other suspended matter in the fluid without abrading the pump body and is simple to maintain.

4. The peristaltic pump has a critical shearing force effect, which can not be replaced by other pumps for the low loss transmission of biologically active substances in the fluid.

Example:

A USA water treatment company used CR's BG600-S/YZ35-15 peristaltic pump in the biofilm wastewater treatment test process to transmit the sewage containing muddy sand to the biofilm reaction tank to help verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the biofilm wastewater treatment process. In order to successfully complete the test, the customer put forward the following requirements for the peristaltic pump:

1. Peristaltic pump can be used to pump sewage containing 150mg/L of sand, and will not affect the service life of the pump.

2. The sewage flow range is wide: 80L/hr-500L/hr, the flow can be adjusted according to the actual process requirements.

3. Peristaltic pump can be operated outdoors, 24 hours a day, continuous operation for 6 months.

Our solution:

BG600-S with YZ35-13 pump head +Pharmed tube

1. When CR peristaltic pump transfers fluid, the fluid only flows in the tube and does not directly contact with the pump body. Moreover, CR peristaltic pump has low shear force, so there will be no sticking and blocking problem in the transmission of fluid containing solid particles, and the service life of the pump will not be affected.

2. CR peristaltic pump has strong self-priming capacity up to 9.5 meters, and the pump can run dry without causing any damage, and the installation position of the pump is more flexible when used for sewage water level raising.

3. CR peristaltic pump BG600-S/YZ35-13+Pharmed 82#, with a max flowrate 720L/h, and can be continuously adjusted to meet the actual flow needs of the site.
